Dr. Bryant was born in Camden, Maine in 1953, grew up in Searsmont, Maine and graduated from Belfast High School in 1970. He attended the University of Connecticut Undergraduate School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 1974. From 1974-1978, he attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine, D.M.D. In 2000, he passed a national qualifying and met other requirements in continuing education earning him the prestige Fellowship Award for the Academy of General Dentistry, F.A.G.D. Fewer than 10 percent of general dentists receive this award. He is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Outside of work Dr. Bryant enjoys almost any kind of outdoor activity; including hiking, scuba diving, water skiing, downhill and cross-country skiing. Dr. Bryant also volunteers at the Root Cellar, an inner city clinic in Portland, Maine.

Carol began working
with us in March of 2007. She comes with 10
years experience in the dental field working
both as office coordinator and dental
assistant. She attained her radiology license
in 1998. She has gone through extensive
continuing education including courses at the
prestigious L. D. Pankey Institute in Key
Biscayne, Florida, the Dawson Center for
Advanced Dental Study in St. Petersburg,
Florida, and Yankee Dental Congress in Boston,
as well as several local courses.
In her leisure time, she enjoys spending
time with family and friends, skiing and all
summer activities. Carol resides in Chelsea
with her husband and their two sons. |

Nikki is the newest member of our team. She
joined us in February of 2008. Nikki came
to us with a very strong business management
back ground of owning and operating her own
business for six years. In March of 2009 Nikki
attended the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental
Study and completed training for Implementing
Complete Dentistry. By implementing Dr.
Bryant's total patient care philosophy she
looks forward to working with and serving
all of Dr. Bryant's patients. Nikki resides
in Oakland with her daughter and enjoys a very
active lifestyle with her. |

Shawna was born in Augusta and grew up in Chelsea, Maine. She graduated from Hall-Dale High School in 1995. Shawna started in dentistry in 1995 as an office trained dental assistant. After two years she knew it was time to find an office where her skills would be utilized to the fullest. And in 1997 she was introduced to Dr. Bryant who was willing to further her education in dentistry. She attained her Dental Assisting Certification and Radiology license in 1999. Since that time, not only has Shawna been one of Dr. Bryant's dental assistants, but she has taken over as our Lab Technician.
Outside of work Shawna enjoys going to the ocean, gardening, hiking and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She has recently married and resides in Chelsea. |

Laura is one of two Dental Assistants that works with Dr. Bryant. Laura and
her family are originally from Hampden, Maine where they resided until July of
2006. A move to Gardiner brought Laura to our office. Laura graduated Hampden
Academy in 1993 and decided to enter the field of dentistry shortly after. Laura
graduated from the University of Maine's Dental Assisting program in 1997. She
spent the next six years employed as an Orthodontic Assistant. Feeling she
needed to expand her skills, she took an opportunity to work for a clinic that
provides dental care for those with mental or physical disabilities. She held
this position until her recent move.
Laura is a member of the Maine Dental Forensics team and enjoys time with
her family, gardening and bird watching. If you find yourself in her chair, make
sure you look for birds outside the window at the feeder. |

Debra Carter is one of the two dental hygienists here at our office. She grew up in Downeast Coastal Maine. After high school, she attended Westbrook College in Portland. She graduated with honors in 1992 with an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Debra and her husband have lived in Central Maine for ten years and recently welcomed the birth of their daughter, Addison, in August 2005. Some of the things she likes best about working here at Bryant Dental Care are working with a great team, Dr. Bryant's constant quest to obtain knowledge and advance his skills and his commitment to his patients to offer them the best care available.

Lauren is the newest
member of our team. Raised in Randolph, she graduated Gardiner Area High
School in 2003. Lauren continued her education at University of New England
receiving her Associates of Dental Hygiene in 2006 and completing her Bachelors
of Dental Hygiene graduating Cum Laude in 2007. In her final year of school,
her studies were focused on the systemic links to periodontal disease and new
methods of treatment. She currently resides in Gardiner with her fiancé Justin
(Frankie) Edelstein. Lauren is thrilled to be working close to home and with
such a great team. She thoroughly enjoys getting to know her patients and
helping them achieve overall health. |
