Dr. Kerry Bryant
Dr. Bryant was born in Camden, Maine in 1953, grew up in Searsmont, Maine and graduated from Belfast High School in 1970. He attended the University of Connecticut Undergraduate School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 1974. From 1974-1978, he attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine, D.M.D. In 2000, he passed a national qualifying and met other requirements in continuing education earning him the prestigious Fellowship Award for the Academy of General Dentistry, F.A.G.D. Fewer than 10 percent of general dentists receive this award. He is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Outside of work Dr. Bryant enjoys almost any kind of outdoor activity; including hiking, scuba diving, water skiing, downhill and cross-country skiing. Dr. Bryant also volunteers at the Root Cellar, an inner city clinic in Portland, Maine.
Accounting Manager; Dental Assistant
Carol began working with us in March of 2007. She works as both our accounting/financial manger as well as a dental assistant. Carol attained her radiology license in 1998. She has gone through extensive continuing education including courses at the prestigious L. D. Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne Florida, The Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study in St. Petersburg Florida, University of Miami Advanced Hygiene Concepts, and Yankee Dental Congress in Boston, as well as several local courses. In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends; watching her childrens sporting events, camping and all summer activities. Carol resides in Chelsea with her husband Rick and their two sons.
Laura and her family are originally from Hampden, Maine where they resided until a move to the Augusta area brought Laura to our office. Laura graduated Hampden Academy in 1993 and decided to enter the field of dentistry shortly after. Laura graduated from the University of Maine’s Dental Assisting program in 1997. She spent the next six years employed as an Orthodontic Assistant. Returning to her roots, Laura went back to General Dentistry. 8 years later, Laura enjoys the expanded duties that are available with Dr. Bryant and more than ever enjoys caring for patients and making their visits more comfortable. Outside of work, life is busy with kids, and pets, and home improvement projects. Some interests are gardening and bird watching. If you find yourself in her chair, make sure you look for birds outside the window at the feeder!
Lauren was raised in Randolph and she graduated from Gardiner Area High School in 2003. She continued her education at University of New England receiving her Associates of Dental Hygiene in 2006 and completing her Bachelors of Dental Hygiene graduating Cum Laude in 2007. In her final year of school, her studies were focused on the systemic links to periodontal disease and new methods of treatment. Since she has graduated she has focused her continuing education on keeping current with the newest in therapies to help her patients with dental and gum diseases. She is now licensed in local anesthesia and has received her certificate in laser dental treatments. Lauren is thrilled to be working close to home and with such a great team. She thoroughly enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them achieve overall health.
